If balance is key to a peaceful state—and it is—then a cross is a most fitting symbol. The horizontal crossbar represents the physical plane, balancing the many opposites you find in your world of duality. If you go too far in your thoughts, actions, or emotions, you are not centered. The vertical pole in a cross represents the connection between your earthly pursuits and the spiritual. If you are always focused on the heavenly aspects of your life, you might find it hard to function in your earthly life. Once again, balance is key, and you find that balance by making choices as to where you place your focus. The center point of a cross, if you superimpose it upon the body, is the center point of you: the heart, not the head. The way to find balance in any endeavor, be it mind, body, or spirit, is to shift your focus to the heart and take a deep breath. There, in that place of stillness, ask, “What is the best thought or action for me in this moment if I am to find peace and remain centered?” You are so very loved.
You might (at some point or points) find it strange to be asking for “the best thought or action” if you are “to find peace”, while it seems a juxtaposition or even adverse when you are (at the same time!) learning that you grow largely from the “mistakes” we all make.
(so …do we say “why not just go ahead and make all the mistakes”… you want and can?)
I suggest that the answer is true in all of the above.
We dont have to worry that we WILL make “mistakes”. We most certainly WILL make them. No question there.
Yet it often takes a lot of time for us to benefit in growth from those mistakes simply because we are stuck in “the story” so finding where you are CENTRED will mean centered in “the stuck story”.
As you know, the peace that you acquire while stuck in “the story” is profoundly limited even in its potential scope because ego inevitably centres peace around your SELF. SELF is limiting by its very nature. Ego and SELF are separations from ownership of YOUR PARTNERSHIP of THE WHOLE”.
THE WHOLE is a partnership that refuses to be denied simply by nature, you cannot separate from it because without you, it could not BE whole, but innately, you have been of it since the beginning. That is why you cannot find the greater peace if do not recognize that of which you are. Even in a virtual world, that is impossible.
There is no “story” without the WHOLE. YOU are not a PART of the WHOLE. YOU are OF the WHOLE.
When we shift our focus to the heart, does not mean all our “troubles” are “solved”, nor that “mistakes” are not opportunities through which we grow. It means you will pass THROUGH “problems” consciously in a LOVING” way, asserting the reality of the WHOLE being of utmost import. It is then and THERE you do not FIND peace, but rather, peace presents itself in gratitude for all EFFORTS and understanding of the WHOLE.
Gratitude of the WHOLE is the same Gratitude you offer. THAT is PEACE. That is why you feel and recognize the peace that presents itself. It is the LOVE, from HEARTs that flow from the universal fountain of the WHOLE. THAT is ESSENCE. It is not “strange”. It is most familiar because you have always had Love and been Loved
