“I see you” — Three words that validate Presence in another. But from what viewpoint are you seeing that other? As separate from you? Well, of course they are separate if you see them with physical eyes opposite you, looking different from you. That is the viewpoint of the human. Now shift your viewpoint. Shift your awareness from seeing through physical eyes as a human to seeing from the point of view of Pure Awareness—that which never changes inside of you. That which has remained the same within you from the moment you became aware of The Story of You. That story has changed moment by moment, but Pure Awareness within you has never changed. See from that viewpoint and know that this same non-changing essence is there within that other. There. That essence has no labels, no name, no role to play. Therefore, there is nothing to resist, and where there is zero resistance, what remains? You know this quality well. It is love.

The human perspective of seeing each other as separate from one another is one of those restrictions which is necessary for us to be able to make sense of our experiences as part of our physical existence on this planet. Changing that perspective through your imagination is difficult to impossible, as to do so while at this level of reality could easily cause one to lose touch with reality itself. Any such change in our way of looking at the world and other people would be at best temporary, and disorienting to the degree that it could potentially bring on a psychotic state of mind in people whose sense of self identity (ego) is already tenuous, for one of many possible reasons (including those who are clinically depressed) .
