All is interconnected. When others around you are out of sorts, there is a reason you react in kind. Go with the flow. Trying to uplift those who do not want to be uplifted can be quite tiring. Do not blame others for their ups and downs. These go with the body and the mind. Ride the waves. It is through these down times that the joys of being human become more apparent. You do not reside in a body simply to feel pleasure. You are here for the experience … for all of it. Thinking and insisting it be otherwise holds you at one end of the polarity.

Wise words indeed. But, the experience of being human is very unpleasant indeed
if someone has a lot of pain in their life .. for many years.
That makes the human experience pretty awful.
There is nothing rewarding about that.
Unless, a person’s pain leads them to great happiness
Or great success in their life.
We are here to transform our suffering and deepen our soul’s experience. When you don’t identify with it and accept it, it changes into prolonged presence. And the suffering is replaced by a deep serenity.
This feels as if it was written directly to me. My son has recently dropped into a very sad time of depression. Yesterday I tried to keep him company, play some guitar, be upbeat. He interrupted my cheerful sideshow by asking me if I would please just give him some space. At the time, his request made me feel rejected and useless, but I understood. Today’s words feel like gentle guidance and reassurance to me. Thank you!
