Love the one you’re with. The one who is right in front of you is part of the same web of connections. You have split off from pure Being into a human being for the purpose of interrelating, which cannot be done when there is only One. So, make the most of each interaction, will you? Human love is quite different than the kind the soul knows, so shift attention to the part of you that never changes. This is the same in that one in front of you, be they grocery store clerk or what you would call a jerk — they are all Source in expression, as are you. Find the connection at the deepest level and know love. That one in front of you? They are there to give you this gift of discovery.

On a more serious note, I am beginning to believe it really is true that everything we say and think is known – that indeed, as the prayer says, from Almighty God ‘no secrets’ – or words – ‘are hid’.
I want to add this to my post a moment ago. The prayer is the beautiful Collect for Purity from the Book of Common Prayer:
Almighty God, unto whom all hearts be open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love thee, and worthily magnify thy holy name: through Christ our Lord. Amen.
