If you saw an animal injured at the side of the road, you would wish to help it. This is the heart. Call it the soul, call it what you want. This is Love … the innate connection you share at your deepest level that calls you to aid those in need. When you see a fellow human suffering, you wish to jump in and help. This is Love, your very nature. Some may not be willing to accept your assistance, to hear what you have to say, to take your helping hand. Know that your love makes a difference, whether or not it is received. Perhaps they simply want to be heard, to be accepted as they are here and now. This you can do from near or afar. You already know how it heals to simply know … you are so very loved.

I tried so desperately to help him buy he never utilized the help to benefit him! I am comforted in knowing (although some call it enabling) that the love I gave will in some way help him! As an example It is Devine Love in expression to help another see the different parts of themselves that do not serve them on their path.
It is also Devine Love in expression to step aside, without any emotion, where your assistance or support is not welcomed and allow that being to experience the lessons of life & to find the path home that leads them into the Devine Heart.
BUT, in their own time.
Be effortless in your Expression of Devine Love with no expectations on any level.

That, is perhaps, what your son really“craves”. Substances are a utilitarian means of coping . I learned this from Gabor Maté in listening to his podcasts that give insights into addictions.
Love him unconditionally and drop all judgements about him. Simply place him in Spirits care for. Spirit knows best ! Ask your Guides for help for YOUR self -discernment in this.
He has his own Guides and Angels available to him. Until he is ready . and that may or may not be in this lifetime , the only “help” you can offer him is the pure love from the heart, without any attachments, judgements, concessions, pleadings blame or self -guilt. All of those may really be your self-work along with remembering your own Self Love . Your Guides and Spirit helpers are with you, just ASK for their help/ guidance. The more you keep the focus on yourself and do your work , the “purer” the Love you extend to him and to All Beings.
See him as he truly IS…Happy Healthy and Holy…..that, energetically translates as LOVE &LIGHT . That may take a little time or not, depending on your openness.
