“Love the one you’re with.” Each person is put before you as an opportunity. “But what if they are abusive?” you ask. Read our words again: Love the One you are with. There are two ways to see every being before you: as a human being and as Being playing the role as a human. See the Being beyond and within the human before you. Realize that this Being is the same Being as is within you. One Mind, One Heart. When you cannot see that in another, it is because you are seeing with human eyes. See with the eyes of the soul into the soul of the other and you will realize there is no other. If the human side is intolerable or dissonant in any way, send them love. It is the greatest elixir. At the human level, take appropriate action. Connect with the soul at the soul level and know that all is well in gratitude for the opportunity to excel. Double vision. It is a good thing.

I really love and take in all you say to the best of my ability. This one has me really confused. My ex husband was pysicaly, mentally and emotionally abusive to me and my beloved dogs and my family. He tried to kill me and I escape, barley with my life and my dog. Thank God I and everyone survived. We are scared. I sent him love, I prayed. This person, I saw in his eyes had no soul. How can you say “ love the one your with”? I am terrified that abused women will read this and believe they are the problem. Please explain. This triggers something very bad inside of me.

Hi Jodie. It is impossible for a human being to have no soul. We are souls having a human experience. The soul aspect of us can get buried/overlooked when the human aspect so identifies with the role that it ignores our true nature. This message from Sanaya encourages the soul aspect of us to see beyond the human pain and ignorance and recognize that all arises from the level of the soul. You were right to leave. If abused women misunderstand this, then they, too, have forgotten we are all souls playing roles. This is our task in this lifetime: to find the soul that has never left. There is nothing bad inside of you. What is triggered is the ego that says, “Once she finds out I’m not the real one, that the soul has been all along, the gig is up.” Breathe deeply and ask the soul to guide you to knowingness, to remembering, and to forgiving all involved for ever thinking they were anything less than love.
