If you find out that you have a guide and that guide is one who was well known when they walked upon your earth, perhaps you do not agree with all that they espoused at that time.  Do not despair.  Your guides do not become guides unless they have experienced sufficient spiritual growth after passing from the earthly realm.  They are not “the same people” they were then, although they may have similar interests, just as you may as you go through the various cycles of life.  Are you the same person you were twenty, thirty, or forty years ago?  We daresay you are not.  Life is about change and growth.  Life is ever ongoing, eternal, and so is growth.  Your guides have evolved to the point where they can aide in your growth by being a guide.  Trust them to do so.  Ask for guidance, and as is true in any case, test all guidance in the heart.

Your guides will speak to you in a language you will understand.  They will not use high-fallutin’ language if this is not something that would help you.  Perhaps the language used in their earthly time was different than your own.  It matters not.  You will perceive it in the way that makes sense to you.  All is consciousness, in the end, and this is the goal of the guides who work with you – the evolution of consciousness.
