Every disappointment holds within it a gift. Feel the disappointment keenly. This is how you truly know there is a gift, for it is by contrast that you learn. If you do not like the way disappointment feels, this very discomfort causes you to ask, “What is the gift in this?” It spurs you to look around and within. It helps you to notice when the gift arrives, and trust us, you will know. It will come wrapped in the awareness that you would not have realized how you have gained because of the disappointment without it. Do you see how you learn and grow when you are aware? Instead of “woe is me” you earn the gift of “I am free!”
You are so very loved.
Feeling the gift as keenly as you had felt the disappointment, occasionally takes a while. But wait for it. It will show up, – big as life if you are willing to keep your eyes and ears open. Allow your mind the ability to do so. You will realize the disappointment was never the important part. When you thought that the disappointment was meant to offend you in some way, your Ego was pulling up the planks in an attempt to save the ship, meant of Nonsense.
I have begun to realize as I
age, every trial is a gift in learning something new, a new awareness, a new insight. I love todays’ word.
I am starting to understand
Suzanne, thanks for being here
As I was crying and thinking of my recent divorce after a 36 years of marriage, I had asked myself..”What is the lesson here?”, No one wins in a divorce. I clicked to read your daily message and see my answer.
My lesson is the gift… I am free.
Thank you Suzanne for your messages of inspiration. I needed that.
