Gratitude will get you everywhere. It is far more potent than flattery, which carries a positive vibration akin to gratitude, but is not quite the same. Gratitude releases the hold on the self. It aligns you to something beyond the self, acknowledging that you are not a sole agent, but an agent of the soul in this incarnation. When feeling off balance, judgmental, frustrated, or any of the many human traits that keep you out of tune, find something for which to be grateful and bask in this energy. There. Attunement beyond ego. It is a wondrous state.
You are so very loved.
Hi Suzanne from the UK!
This post goes some of the way to answering my first question. I have struggled all my life with severe OCD. Most people mistakenly believe that OCD is just about being a bit of a clean freak, but for me it’s disturbing intrusive thoughts about self harm. In essence, it feels like I’m in a constant battle with my own mind. I have always been quite a spiritual person and have been a practicing pagan most of my life. When I have previously sat in a development circle I have been the most happy and at peace. My question is, is there a spiritual way to improve your mental health?
This brings me onto my second question. One of the other things in my life which makes me most content is volunteering for a healthcare charity. Many years ago I was told by a medium in my local church that I had learned all I could from volunteering and that I needed to move on and further develop my mediumistic skills. That was about 14 years ago and I still volunteer, has this stunted my growth as a budding medium and do I really have to give up something that I love to practice mediumship?
Warmest regards,
Brad
