When can the passing of a loved one turn into something good? When you see it as an opportunity. In this case, we choose the use of the word “good” to mean bringing more love into your world. When it seems the light has gone out of your life, this is precisely the time to bring more of it in—in remembrance of the one who now watches from beyond the veil.
Perhaps you are reading these words as a result of a passing. The physical loss has led you to this place on your path. And so, we urge you to go forth and shine as brightly as you can upon others, taking all of the love your loved one brought into your life and bestowing it now in the form of your love upon others. Do you see the chain of events at work here? In this way you are passing the torch, only the torch your loved one passed to you has not gone out. It still burns on in the form of their eternal spirit, which urges you now to think of them with each loving act you perform. It burns on in the form of you, and it is ignited in those who receive the gift of your combined lights.
This one really hits home. I lost my wife of 32 years very suddenly nearly 5 years ago. It wound up opening me back up to my spiritual side when I had the most profound spiritual event in my life. As I surrendered myself and my grief to God all I experienced was this overwhelming love. It poured over and through me and forever changed me and my view of God. I remember writing a few months after she crossed over the veil that what greater gift could I have received from her, she changed my life forever when she entered it and yet again when she left it. Love is all there is. God is Love!
What a great reading from Sanaya today. If my loved one was still alive, I would not have the time or desire to pursue more of my Spiritual learning. I am comforted by the knowledge that the veil is thin and he can know what I am doing and I at times am more able to feel his presence.
