Safety. This is what you seek when you reach for substances to numb the feelings. Food, drugs, liquor and the like . . . You may believe they “take the edge off.” Yes, but the edge of what? Feelings that bring tension. Tension is the way of it when in a human body. The soul feels no tension. You are both human and a soul. When reaching for something to help you feel better, you are seeking to lessen the tension. There is a feeling of safety in this.
The soul is safe and whole. Find the balance. Find your center. Here, right here within you there is no tension at this balance point. Sit in the stillness each day, if only for a few minutes and most especially as needed. Experience this stillness so that it becomes the ever-present companion that it is. And then, when the desire to numb the tension rather than dissolving into stillness threatens to overcome you, find the now-familiar true safety within.
You are so very loved.
Hi Suzanne, I’ve followed you for years with gratitude. Just wanted to let you know the Hara method really DOES make a difference! In spite of being a life-long meditator, taking multiple classes, and experiencing loads of synchronicities, I never seem to receive clear messages from Spirit. But after your Forgotten Center workshop, I tuned in to the introductory SHIFT program regarding Testing Your Psychic ability and completely nailed the telepathy test after using the Hara method! So THANK YOU! It also makes a huge difference in creating stability when doing Qigong! See you on the 15th for Decoding Messages!
