“But I can’t wait!” you cry, and of course you know you must. In your world of time, the future always lies ahead of you, and wait you must. You also know that eventually the moment you have been waiting for will likely come, and then the anticipation will be over. Savor this sweet anticipation. This moment now of waiting is not to be wasted, for that moment you await lasts but a moment.
We are not telling you not to look into the future. We are merely reminding you how delicious now can be. Savor it. Milk it for all the joy you can get out of it. Aha. The recipe for life! Drink in every moment. Eat heartily this feast of experiences. Ignore not what is on your plate whilst awaiting the next course.
This was timely for me. Today I learned that a position I had wanted at work was not to be. I came in a close 2nd and was at first disappointed. I have been acting in the job for a month now. It’s been a good experience but there was always something missing (I could feel it in my gut). My boss told me he was very satisfied with my work and wanted me to apply for some upcoming positions. Well, two of those would be preferable anyway and I now have some more contacts and support for those!
Needless to say I’m a little relieved now, although my ego was hurt at first. I know this is the right path and onwards I go! Brad
