When someone says they send healing energy to you, what does that mean? It means they are using the power of consciousness to move thought-energy-information from their energy field to yours. Such efforts come from the highest intentions—you might say, “from the heart.” Therefore, they are imbued with the highest energy one can harness with consciousness. Higher vibrations cause lower vibrations to entrain to them, thus raising the vibration within the energy field of the recipient, and healing results in some measure Try sending love, why don’t you, and know that in doing so, you are making a difference.
You are so very loved.
From what I’ve personally perceived (visually), the energy flows from all around the healer, through their crown chakra, down the main vertical current to the heart chakra (at the center of the chest, corresponding not to the physical heart, but the thymus), then upward in a smooth curve through the arms and out of the hands. From this perspective, the healer functions as a transmitter essentially, able to channel a greater energy amplitude, in a broader range of frequencies, than what the recipient of the healing can currently do. The level of power that can be channelled depends on the healer’s conscious intent, and, more fundamentally, on the healer’s own energetic reserves, gathered within the three “dantien” as they’re called in the East, consumed daily in various degrees, and replenished by meditation.
From this perspective, the healer doesn’t move energy from their field properly, but *through* their field, which filters and modulates it according to the recipient’s own needs. Moving out one’s own energy is fundamentally… a bad thing, because that results in an energy expenditure and loss that the healer has to recover from, as opposed to these other techniques where the healer is essentially a channel.
The results vary, depending on the accuracy of this modulation both in terms of power and frequency – using too much power on a damaged energy field just creates more damage most of the times, and using too little power causes negligible effects. My reiki teacher once told us of one of his students who had a broken leg, and his group’s constant collective energy healing caused an impressively fast recovery, that left the doctors puzzled.
Ultimately, in terms of efficiency, in my opinion, it all boils down to a matter of power limitations, because this kind of healing system in and of itself is an incredibly versatile and potent tool. A master of all trades, in a sense.
