Gracious. Here is a word with great meaning. To be gracious, there is no righteousness. There is no lording power over another. Look at the root of the word: Grace. What do you feel when you contemplate grace? A connection to a Power greater than the human self and greater than the situation. It is a gift that comes from beyond … from beyond whatever interaction and issue is being dealt with. To receive this gift and apply it liberally, with no thought of the self is to be gracious. Goodness gracious, me oh my, connect to the heart, and you will know why: You are so very loved.
