“Why did you do that?” you may have been asked when you gave away something precious or enacted a kind and selfless deed, and the answer, which may have come with a shrug of the shoulders reveals your deeper essence. You, beautiful soul, were simply being true to the Self. At deeper levels you know that nothing you own is truly yours, that there is no separation between you and all you behold, and that there is far greater joy in giving than in receiving. How do you know these things? For Truth cannot remain hidden forever.
