Sanaya … if you were to look up this name we have asked to be called, you would find that one of its meanings is “One Worth Knowing.” In this case, it is a most fitting name for all of you. Whether you accept this truth in your heart or not, you are most worth knowing, for the One created you to get to know. Did you know this? You arise directly from the One Heart. Your thoughts are God’s thoughts. There is no great brain that operates like a machine or even like a human brain. Oh, how you limit God when you use this imagery and even this name. So let us just call it Love for now. But what’s in a name, when you have within you the knowing. The One Worth Knowing is you, and each one you encounter, and the one essence of all that is … Love. This is why … you are so very loved.

I encourage people to move beyond troubles with ‘god’ as a label, and to think of this label as a metaphor, pointing in the direction of such a loving enormity as we can barely entertain the edges of it! I have always loved St. Anselm’s definition of God, that I adapt slightly so that it may fit notions such as Joy, Source, Matrix, One, etc.: ‘that than which none other greater can be conceived.’
