Love the one you’re with. Give them the gift of your attention, your presence. You think you have nothing to say? Ask within, “What would engender just the right conversation right now?” By asking in this manner, a fresh insight will come to mind. As it comes from the heart, voice it to your companion and watch how the conversation flows in fresh and unexpected ways. It is easy to become stale when relying on habitual patterns of interacting. Asking for fresh words from Higher Consciousness freshens up relationships in an instant. Try it, why don’t you?

I love the way Sanaya proceeds by asking questions. A question always intends an answer, or at least a direction towards an answer. Thus, a question never ends the discussion, or the thinking, because it always looks toward an answer. By contrast, a declarative statement always ends a discussion or exchange because it is a conclusion, a judgment. Conclusion and judgment invite rejoinder and argument. A question, on the other hand, brings energy to the thinking and discussion and keeps the thinking, the concentration, the focus, and the journey, going. Here, the question, “What would engender just the right conversation right now?” keeps the questioner focused on how to move forward, in love, because your time and presence are your ultimate gift to one you love. The real beauty here is Sanaya’s teaching that with any question, you can bring in Higher Consciousness for a nudge and a suggestion. It always works and the Spirits will never let you down. It always works because you are this and there is no other way. What a beautiful question!
