Do you know that a single bad dream can affect your chakra system so much so as to affect you for days? The dream is not a visit, nor is it an omen. It is simply what so many of your dreams are: the mind of the human side of you processing the jumble of thoughts you always deal with. No matter the subject matter, if it is of such a low vibration that you call it a nightmare, then dreamer beware: your connection to the other side and with all those around you at a soul level will be diminished in your awareness.
How to restore you to full vitality and equanimity? Do any number of chakra clearing exercises and restore the flow. Dreams can have just as powerful an effect on you as what you call real-life events. Take care of yourself. Self-care begins with your thoughts, your awareness, and the flow of the Force which animates you.

I have never heard a spiritual teacher, physical or non-physical speak of dreams in this way. All dreams, just like all feelings are neither good nor bad. They come to speak to us and bring us information about the spiritual alchemy we are working through on our journey. There are numerous approaches to working with dreams, but they are all gifts … just like the nightmare experiences that may come our way in waking life. It is good to restore ourselves to Divine Alignment after a disturbing dream, but leaving it at that is leaving a gift unopened.
Hi Jana – I interpret Sanaya’s words as meaning that we label them “bad dreams” — they are using our terminology so that we identify those that may actually cause a blockage in a chakra that knocks us off balance during the day. Sanaya has said repeatedly over the years that the soul does not identify things as good or bad and that all feelings are learning opportunities. The feeling that comes to me in this message is their attempt to alert us that dreams that our psyche interprets in a certain way can block us, and without awareness, we may go about our day feeling off balance. I agree with you and I know that Sanaya would agree with you that anything that presents itself to us is that gift, that learning opportunity. The main point of this message, in my interpretation is that we humans label things good or bad, and if that interpretation causes an imbalance, with awareness we have the power to find balance again through clearing our own chakras. xxoo
I’ve had two disturbing dreams within that past couple days! Strange, to say the least. This morning (after a nightmare last night) I recalled having read this post and looked it up. I definitely relate to feeling off balance after these dreams. I don’t know where I got this idea—most likely from Sanaya—but both times, in my mind, I took the disturbing images, encased them in a bubble and sent them to the source of Light and Love to transform them, to diffuse their power over me, to give me some peace. . . and just now an idea popped into my mind that I must follow through with (having to do with the subjects—which were similar—of the dreams). So, yes, learning opportunities and a time when it’s important to recenter.
I too am just waking from a very disturbing dream and remembered Sanaya having said something about what we call nightmares. …. and then I see how you encased yours in a bubble and sent them to the source of Love and Light. Perfect for me this morning, thank you for sharing that.
